Man held in Fort Bend County Jail after being charged with burglary

A man is currently being held in the Fort Bend County Jail after police claim he stole a purse form a parking lot in the East End. 

Rosenburg Police officers responded to a report of a purse being stolen from the parking lot of the 99 Cent Store at 2516 Avenue H on Sept. 22 around 3:30 PM.

 

According to the Rosenburg PD, officers located the vehicle leaving the area and attempted to stop the vehicle.  The suspect then allegedly fled and continued south on Highway 59.  

 

After a long pursuit, the suspect stopped on FM 2919 in Kendleton and was taken into custody without incident.

 

The suspect is identified as Pete Morales, 29, of Rosenburg.  He was arrested and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and evading arrests.  He is currently being held in the Fort Bend County Jail.
