Dulles' Williams signs with New Mexico
Dulles HS senior Zoey Williams has signed to play football next season for New Mexico.
The 5-foot, 10-inch, 190 pound defensive back compiled 50 tackles, made two interceptions, and forced two fumbles this season earning first team all-district selection.
Williams was also a finalist for the Touchdown Club of Houston defensive player of the year award.
"He has coverage ability and Zoey is a lock down corner. He has tremendous
strength and has a lot of confidence. He wants to be lined up against
the other team's best player. He is a high-energy guy who is always
around the ball. He has great closing speed and excels in press
coverage," New Mexico football coach Mike Locksley commented on the
school website.
Williams chose New Mexico over scholarship offers from numerous schools including Missouri, UTEP and Wyoming.
