Fort Bend ISD String Fling moved to Thursday
The annual Fort Bend ISD "String Fling" has been re-scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m.
The "String Fling" concert is free and showcases the middle school beginner orchestra students of Fort Bend ISD.
Dennis Whittaker, the double bassist for the Houston Grand Opera, will be the guest performer. He has performed and recorded as a principal with the Grand Opera since 1996. He is also serving as a guest clinician, preparing the young musicians for the performance.
The "String Fling" will be held at the Wheeler Field House, located at 16403 Lexington Blvd. in Sugar Land.
