HS girls softball: Dulles thrashes Hightower
Dulles slugged its way to a 15-3 victory over Hightower in District 23-5A high school girls softball action on Tuesday.
"It was a great offensive game for us," said Dulles Head Coach Ryland Bailey. "The win keeps our playoff hopes alive, but we still have work to do."
Leah Villow struck out nine in a complete game victory for the Vikings.
The win ups Dulles to 18-12 overall and 11-5 in district play.
Elise Dillow had a big day at the plate, going 3-3 and driving in five.
Dulles will next host Austin on Thursday at 7 p.m.
The loss drops Hightower to 12-17 overall and 5-11 in district play.
Lisa Harris took the loss for the Hurricanes.
Hightower will next visit Travis on Thursday at 7 p.m.
