Where are the lowest gas prices in Fort Bend this week?

The average price of gas in Fort Bend County suburbs has decreased by almost 3 cents since last week and remained cheaper than the averages for Texas, the metropolitan area and the country.

The average gasoline price for 89 stations in and around Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg and Sugar Land was $3.420 per gallon as of Aug. 15. Rates were submitted by users of the price-tracking website GasBuddy. The area's average was a few cents below the Texas average at $3.469, Houston average at $3.450 and United States average at $3.595.

The average for the area last week was $3.449 per gallon.

Two gasoline stations in Sugar Land were identified by users to have sold at $3.29 per gallon. This rate was the cheapest rate in Fort Bend County suburbs. The stations that sold at this price were Chevron at 10145 SH 6 and Old Richmond Road and CITGO at 10021 SH 6 and Old Richmond Road.

According to gasbuddy.com, the most expensive rate was $3.68 per gallon, which was reportedly charged by Exxon located at 2725 Avenue H and Alamo Street in Rosenberg.
