Richmond man sued after fatal helicopter accident
An estate is suing a Richmond man, and others, after a loved one was killed during a helicopter crash in LaSalle County.
Wilma Diefenbach-Jones, on behalf of the deceased Dale Allen Jones, filed a lawsuit on Friday, March 2 in the Harris County District Court against Thompson Helicopters, Richmond resident Rutland Louis Ambrecht and others, citing negligence.
Diefenbach-Jones says on March 6, 2010, Dale Allen Jones was killed when a helicopter, hired to transport wild hog hunters, crashed 13 miles north of Cotulla. According to the brief, the helicopter went down after it ran out of fuel.
The estate is seeking damages and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney W. Mark Lanier.
