Dulles Middle School heroes promote anti-bullying efforts
The Hallway Heroes, a group of Dulles Middle School students, are patrolling the hallways of the school during class changes and lunchtime to make sure their campus is bully-free.
“Students at Dulles Middle School are serious about stopping bullying,” said Vickey Smith, eighth-grade counselor, in a press release. “Hallway Heroes is a fast-growing group of students who want to make a positive contribution to making our school a safer, more enjoyable place for everyone.”
Hallway Heroes started two years ago to support the No Place for Hate efforts of the school. There are 65 students in the group that meet bi-monthy to discuss student concerns, perform role-play situations, view anti-bullying videos and create anti-bullying posters to place along school hallways.
DMS counselors sponsor the group.
